Sanderson Canyon in Texas is huge. It starts west of Sanderson TX, the county seat, and continues east through rugged country before emerging near Dryden. Much of the canyon is inaccessible unless you are priviledged to use the UP access road along the track. Th Strasburg Railroad operates from its' namesake community to Leaman Place Jct, where it connects with the Norfolk Southern. It's only 4.5 miles long, but an impressive little railroad. During the summer, Strasburg typically will operate two trains, running just a few minutes apart.
